It wasn't all bad. Broke the shaft on my Actro at the farthest distance across the field where I fly. Couldn't hear the power loss, but saw the blades turning slowly. Made it over the trees, and then over the fence to the edge of the field, but broke the skids, and then a blade when it fell over. I really thought I was going into the trees.
Other heli seperated the last non-welded pinion I have.
But won the consolation prize.

Well saved  - really hope Mikado start shipping fixed pinions soon :arggg: - why so you think your Actro shaft broke -was it a Dremelled bit for the pinion or else metal fatigue at the base of the pinion support - is it fixable ? I gather the new Scorpion motors have easily changeavle shafts.

The motor shaft was unchanged, as it comes with a flat milled down it. I figure it had about 40 flights. Looks like it just twisted off.

Shesh, I saw the power of a actro 32-3 today, it was insane, the main gear strip after a couple of flights, it didn't last long.
This was not a logo it was another heli!
