View Full Version : Help with 9303A decision
Hello all! I just bought a Blade 400 and so far I am loving it. I need some advice on my transmitter situation. I have an airplane version XP9303 on 72mgz and I am trying to decide to either dump it and pick up an helicopter version on 2.4 or just install the thing as is in my Blade. I understand as far as the transmitters go, the only difference between the heli and the airplane versions are the switch layouts. Is it worth the trouble to get the heli version? I am not interested in 3D, my main interest is scale if that makes any difference.
Also, I am a little worried about 2.4. I have never had a problem with 72 so I am kinda leaning that way. If I decide to keep my 9303, how difficult would switching out the receivers and programming the mixes to match the DX6i be? Sorry for all the questions but I gotta know! Thanks.

Not sure about the last part of your question, but it seems to me that the airplane version would work fine if you change out the ratchet for a smooth one like the heli radio has. They can be ordered from Horizon. They switch placement is a little different, but I don't think that's any big deal for what you're trying to do at this time.

The switch position change is reasonably important. It puts the Flight Mode switch in a more usable position on the top left of the radio versus the front face.
Thanks Pinecone. I checked with Horizon and they can easily change my TX to a heli version for a small fee.
