Dial indicating a clutch

What is the best way to dial indicate the clutch on my Vibe 50. The latest RCHeli mag recommends putting the motor in a vise and then mounting the dial indicator to it. Any other suggestions?

Murp,that seems to be the going trend,this is typically what I do anyways as it works for me.;)

Just don't get carried away with the vice or you can distort the crank case. Also, make sure you pull the glow plug while you're dial indicating.

Thanks for the input - just finished and found that the runout was 0.0025, decided it was close enough and left it as is.
