Anyone run with this setup in the stock plastic frame?

What do you mean? 2x 4s? 4s alone will not have enough power for a Hurri. I'm flying 7s A123 with 4s and 3s with stock frame. I'm thinking about changing to 8s because of lack of power. cg is a little bit hard with 8s but should be possible.

I mean 8S in total. Two 4S packs. Will they fit in the plastic frame?

I just got a PM confirming these do work in the plastic frame. "shotgun" style or end to end.

I am such a 'Hack'. But in order for me to balance with a short tail version on the plastic frame I cut the front ESC mount of the frame and mounted an aluminum plate to the front of the motor mount. This way I can easily adjust for CG when using either 3300s or 8sA123 packs. Since the ESC is now mounted to the side of the frame CG is not an issue. I hate having to trim the heli just because CG is not where it should be.

I have posted picture on my other thread 8sA123 setup

My stock ESC mounting locations were on the side of the frame for both the plastic and CF framed versions. Did you have your ESC mounted up top before your mod?

*Edit. Never mind heheh.. i saw the pics.. you cut off the front of the frame. :)
