You ahve a mid range needle on the non-pumped C-SPEC. From what I understand the cateye makes up for lean midrange where there is no mid needle on the PS Carb.

richen the mid needle and see if it helps. Do it a couple clicks at a time. Also if the mid is to rich, it will cause the motor to stumble when you reduce from full power and it may seem lean to you. Took me a good while to figure this out.
The most important thing is that you only want to adjust 1 or 2 clicks max at a time, once your needles get close to the sweet spot there is only a couple of clicks difference between to rich or to lean on that 60K carb from what I am experiencing.

Hi
My story is i went from a R60 witch was a bit under powered. so i converted it to a 90.
the Motor is still new at full throttle it blowing heaps of smoke but it surges.
at the moment the high speed needle is about two&half turns out do you think that is still to rich?

If its new its not to rich. Keep it rich for at least 2-3 gallons and then lean it out.
Then you should have your mid needle 1 turn out and the high 1-1,5 turn out.
But these settings depend on the fuel your running to.

Hi
Fredrik i have run about 10 litres through it so far. so that should run in by now every flight i make it two clicks leaner.
At the moment its running ok but its still is surgeing.
So i will keep doing the small adjustments till it gets there.
and thanks for your help.
