Are there any known faults with the new Redline 53?

I recently bought one, via a best offer, from an ebay shop. The guy has now refunded my money saying he won't ship 'because TT RL53-H engine has some fault'

I have my own views why he won't ship, but won't express them just yet.

couple of heli mags are saying the Redline HATES Governors, apparently they have the same problem the TT50 had, the low speed is too blunt, hence it goes lean at midrange.
Run it sloppy rich on the bottom and its ok, now dont quote me here. This is what Rotory modeler said, either them or model helicopter world.:smokin:

I have my TT53 redline on a Futaba GV-1 and my buddy has his on an Align governor. Both are fine.
Some motors have carb issues. I think it's pretty rare, but some will have a really hard time tuning the mid point/transition. Also, some talk of "sticky" carbs that basically freeze the arm in certain spots, can strip servo gears etc...

Mine has been great though!

Mine runs great. The only thing I have a problem with is the loose main needle. Doesn't seem to effect anything though. Mine it tuned perfectly thru all ranges as of my last flight yesterday. Took me a while to get the low set just right where it wouldn't rev in a fast decent. But I have also gone thru 3 pipes and each one tunes a little differently. I think the RedLine is great.
