Hi all .
Just thought I'd ask for a few opinions on radio power supply options for my new logo 600 3d that will be in my hot little hands soon .
I plan on using my Jazz 55 and in it's current position in a Lepton , I have a koolflight HV 5volt bec running the rx , servos' 601 and servo etc .
On the 600 I plan on starting with some 9252's I have sitting around looking for a home , 601 and AR7000.
My trouble at this point is how to feed the servos etc . Do I get a HV bec , go a regulator with seperate small batt pack or what ?
At this point I've read a fair bit of info on bec's and to tell the truth I'm a bit lost on which way to go .
Any experience on good becs or trouble free set-up's would be great.

I've always used UBEC, Hyperion makes one called TICOOL and works up to 10S lipo packs. 5/6V output selectable, from memory 4A cont and 5A peak, never gets warm with 4 digital servos.
I also just changing to DX7 and will use the 4700uf 10V voltage protection cap just to smooth out any dips in voltage which i doubt there will be.
I run on 6V and connect to main flight pack on all 10 and 6S machines.

If you want one of the best (not the smallest or lightest, but bulletproof) with split adjustable voltages for the gyro and cyclic servos, checkout www.fromeco .org

No, I'm not sponsored by them , just been using them for years without a single issue.

Take care, Dave.

Most of the european Mikado pilots I know use this system:

I have it on my own ship and I'm completely satisfied!

Hope it helps,

/Peter

Thanks for your input guys .
I have actually chosen a Flight power/ Flight tech 8amp 5-6 volt reg unit and a seperate FP 2100 rx lipo pack to suit the reg with dual leads on the reg and battery . Seems like a good unit .
From what I have been told these are reliable and the price is good too .

Just need pinions , batteries , and a few other pieces and it won't be long till this logo 600 project is movin along .

cheers
Jason.
