I've had loads of issues with my 200 since day one, had some bad vibes out of the box and i messed up the tail twice.
Is 3S too much power for the stock 200? I have the TT upgrade with a 15/10t pinion that i was considering using. There seems to be lots of vibes in the tail, it resonates at such a rate it's a strugle to hold it still from the boom.

The TT vibrates? That is weird. Did you bend the tail rotor shaft? Maybe the tail blades are out of balance? My TT tail is so solid that I have zero vibes on the tail. I even switched back to the steel push-rod with no middle boom support.

I've had the sd for a few weeks and now that the new has worn off I have a couple of issues. The first was the gear on the tail shaft turning on the shaft. Only noticed when applying right rudder. The heli would turn about 90 degrees and then stop and simultaneously I would hear the tail rotor bog all this while holding full right rudder. CA'd the gear back on the shaft and all was well until I installed the Zpower 5150kv motor and 10/15 pinion. Gear began slipping again. Put in a new tail shaft/gear and she is holding fine now. The second issue I just discovered yesterday and don't know if it is related to the gear slipping or not, is slop in the tail shaft at the bearing on the rotor blade side. I can put my index finger on the nut at the grip hub and visibly move the shaft up and down, right and left 1 to 2mm. The shaft is moving inside the bearing and the bearing is moving inside it's seat in the tailbox as if the shaft is to small for the bearing and the bearing is to small for the tailbox. The bearing on the other side is fine. Not sure if the new motor and pinion is to blame or more the reason that the slop became apparent. I'm sure it didn't help. As to the motor and pinion I love it. Insane power and when you stop a piro it's like the tail hits a slab of granite, very tight and precise. Whether 3s is killing your 200? It's not extending it's life but one would expect for there to be additional stress/wear when increasing power and speed. Hey don't sweat it. I'm sure Gaui is making spare parts as I type.:YeaBaby:

I've only had my TT for a couple days. Hope I don't run into issues, probably will. Then again knowing me I'll crash before it wears out.

Hot batts won't likely produce these problems.
I run 3s almost exclusively now. The manual says 2s or 3s.
I think your problem is mechanical, probably in the tail or head, check into the balance man....

I have a belt drive, and my tail is pretty free of vibration. Don't overlook balancing the tiny blades; they spin nearly a million times per hour. :wow2:

I've not installed the TT upgrade yet, but I'm planning on doing it over the next day or so along with a complete rebuild and stick on a few other upgrades.
It does seem like some inbalance in the head, I will try to track it down and get a freind to overlook.
Anyone else using 3S with the stock motor and 15/10t? What throttle curves did you set? I've not got over 65% without something going wrong.

I had some pretty bad tail vibrations when I 1st got my Gaui. You should check to make sure the tail and main blades are balanced, your blade tracking is right, and that your flybar is balanced. My main gear was more elliptical than it was circular causing the main to pinion gear mesh to vary from WAY too tight, to WAY to loose causing the gears slip, which caused some nasty vibrations. What part of your heli is vibrating, and which way is it vibrating.
I don't have the TT upgrade.... yet :), but I only run 3s with the stock motor/ESC/pinion and I've had great luck. This heli can be a biatch to get in the air and flying smooth, but once you do, I can almost guarantee you'll fly this heli more than your other helis. Just look around at some of the threads around here. Keep us posted.

I've been running the 200 today with the TT and it has improved performance and got rid of most of the vibes.

only most of the vibes??
balance the main blades,if that won't help,
check the main shaft. it gets bend very easy even if it seems to be straight on the heli.
put it out and roll it over a table or pice of glass, replace it if there is any sign of not beeing perfectly straight. replace the main grip screws as well. that's another weak spot but ok considering the screws get bend mostly instead of the grips, in a crash
do this anyway even if you don't had a crash yet. this way you can be sure it isn't the shaft and search elsewhere....
