It's Back Guys!!!!!
I am pround to annouce that the Mid America R/C Heli Fun Fly is back. After a brief hibernation the event is back for 2008 and looks to be stronger than ever. Hosted by the Detroit Aeromodlers this event will be the premiere r/c heli event in the state possibly the midwest, excluding IRCHA. Here are the Pertinent details:
Dates: Saturday and Sunday June 28th and 29th with open flying all day Friday the 27th.
Location: The Detroit Aeromodelrs Club field at Joy Rd. and Spinozza in Detroit. Featuring (9) large flight stations for non-stop flying action. The field is close to several fast food places and convience stores, plus we will have the usual dogs and burgers on site.
Events: There will be events for pilots of all levels we are planning a novice event, an intermediate event, an advanced event and possibly drag racing.
Activities: We are planning a group trip to Greektown Casino Friday night and a trip to a nice resteraunt on Saturday night.
Landing fees will be: $20 with pre-registration or $25 on-site.
We currently have verbal commitments from the following Feature Demo Pilots:

Alex Rodriguez

We are really working hard towards making this a great event with alot of good flying and good times after dark. We are working on a website with more detailed information. I will continue to post info as it becomes available.
