For my Belt CP, I'm buying a bunch of spare parts to have on hand...... are there any bearings I should buy upfront that might wear and need changing in regular use in a year? If so, what parts number are they?

Hi Mysterious and welcome:)
do you want to stock bearings because you have trouble getting supplies because if not I would advise you to just buy them when they wear. I know the manual sayes the main bearings are shot after 100 flights and the tail bearings after 50 but mine have done hundreds of flights without showing any sign of wear.
I do keep the heli well lubricated with silicone oil and molybdenum grease though
if a bearing is side loaded through being incorrectly fitted it will fail very quickly but normally you will have plenty of warning that you need to replace them so it will not stop you flying while you wait for replacements.
The main components to stock are feathering shafts, mainshafts, blades, flybars, maingears etc. all the things that regularly get damaged and stop you flying.
most of us have modded and upgraded our Belt's with better components and you will find a wealth of info about which components etc. on this forum
please don't hesitate to ask for help:thumbup:
All the best Ian

Hi,
Well my LHS does not carry Esky right now... and I was going to buy off rchelicoptershop the big belt cp crash kit they have plus a bunch of other spare parts so if/when something breaks i'll have it and not doing separate orders over & over..... so I figured buying a spare set or 2 of bearing might make sense too.
I had not planned to be lubricating things... I was not aware you needed to... is that just preference or is it needed? If you don't lube, is it only the bearings you might need to replace?

yes lubing is pretty necessary. use a light weight hobby oil(your lhs should have something) on the bearings and you can use some white lithium grease on the swash. every couple of flights and after you do any repairs i guess i'd say.

agreed, i have at least 100 flights on mine and bearings are never an issue to me.
I would stock up instead on the more important things.
Main Gears
Autorotation Gear
Tail gear
Booms
Feathering shafts (lots of them)
main shaft
landing skids
Servo's
(and the small oval links going from flybar cage to washout arm as well as the very small link going to the blade grips, these usually come as a set)
