Futaba Receivers

I have a Futaba 6EX-PCM 1024 and on my second outing, the receiver (R138DP) goes out. Can I use any Futaba receiver to replace the one I had or can I upgrade to a better one. I am thinking about getting a 9 channel radio later.

Depending on the channel, You can use any reciever within range. There are high (36 and up) and low (35 and down) band receivers. Choose the range dependent on your channel, and order a new one.
Are you sure the Crysal hasn't come unplugged?

Hi Bud! yeah, I checked the crystal it was in good. the heli was flying great and all of a sudden I could not make it do anything. after it chased me for awhile it hit the ground. Not Pretty!! It stripped a servo so I ordered one. i was trying to set it up and every time turned on thee receeiver it would only work for a few minutes. I thought it may be the battery so i got a new LI battery, regulator and charger. It still did the ssme thing. I thought i may have a short. I unpluged all servos aamd pluged them in one by one. it still did the same thing. the servos move for a min. then stop. they are still working but the reciver will not move them. tell your girls hi. Melanie and krystal had a great time talking and playing with ou girls. melanie still talks about JUlie. i will tell them you said hi. I am going to IRCHA se and hope to see you there. long winded huh? :lol:

How far does it range check?

Do you have failsafe setup on the receiver?

If you decide to upgrade to the 149 DP PCM receiver. You can buy it and use with your system. Don't have to worry about Hi or Lo band. They are all the same now. They have really always been the same, just Futaba/Hobbico labeled them Hi or Lo.

Thanks David, I cant range check it. the receiver kicks out before i can get a check it. I ordered a 149dp last night. I am 98% positive that will fix the problem. I also ordered a crystal with the receiver just to be sure I covered everything.
