Hi

I have just bought a trex 500 so, time for a charge. The battery is a flight power 2500 6s1p.
Why are there two balancing leads fitted to the battery, do both need to be hooked up?

Thanks

Justy

Thanks for your reply.. beginning to think it must have been a stupid question. I am charging a Flight Power 6s 2500 Evo power battery with a Hyperion charger EOSO 606i. The adaptor for the flight power pack to charger has 6s, 4-5s, 2-3s sockets for balancing. This adaptor is for Flight Power packs.

My pack has two balance leads which fit for 6s and the other fits 2-3s socket, so you are saying that both of these need to be connected to their respective sockets in order to balance properly. I am sorry for the confusion as both Flight Power instructions and Hyperion are rather vague on these facts.

Why are there two balance leads?

You got it... both connectors get plugged in. One in the 3s, the other in the 6s connector What charger are you using?.

Why 2 connectors versus 1 wider one? Don't know, that's the connector standard that Thunder Power / Flight Power decided to go with. At least being different widths you can't get the polarity wrong.
