Wanting to get a new starter and power with Lipo batteries. Saw one at a funfly awhile back but he had used an expensive 4s pack that he already had. He was starting 50's and 90's but all I have is hyper 50's so I don't suppose I need a ton of torque.

I guess my question is can I use a 3s low C rated battery like a 10c or 15c and 2000 mah or higher?

Kind of an idiot when it comes to batteries so any help you could toss me would be appreciated.

Thanks

I got a 12V starten on a 25C 2200mah 3s lipo which is not that good for flying anymore. Works well for me. I have attached a wattmeter during some starts and meassured on a hydrolock about 25amps peaks. So its safe enought for me. I start a TT 53H and a OS hyper that way. But the hyper can be started with a 18v drill as well.

Hope this helps

Thanks for the reply. I've got a 20c 1800 mah Polyquest that I will hook up and see what happens.
I was hoping to get a higher mah battery but with a lower C rating and maybe even a 4s for those cold fall days but don't want to spend over $100 on a battery for a $25 starter.
