HI GUYS ,
I have an old JR x-347 radio that serves me well and today I purchased Reflex XTR. As I bought this radio 2nd hand i only have certain parts of the manual and I was wondering if anybody could tell me how to change from ppm to pcm to suit the XTR program. I dont understand what the difference is and when the program does its calibration test at the start and it tells me that it cant detect any input from any stick I figure that this might be the cause. After reading some of the postings on this forum I am starting to wonder if I have made the right purchase over the G2.[/b]

Yes the radio will need to be in PPM modulation to use with the simulator.
You should be able to scroll thru the Parameters menu of the radio and find modulation. Once you change it to PPM, you will have to cycle the power off and on for it to take affect.

These instructions are from the 378 manual. But they should work the same on your radio.

1. While pressing the Down and Channel keys, move
the power switch to the On position to access the
System mode.
2. Press either the Up or Down key until “SPCM,”
“ZPCM,” or “PPM” appears at the top of the LCD.
3. To change among the modulation types, press
either the (+) or (-) keys.
4. Pressing the Clear key will also reset the modulation
selection to the factory preset S-PCM.
5. To access the Data Reset function, press the
Down key.
6. To access the Data Transfer function, press the Up key.
7. To exit the Modulation Selection function, press
the Down and Channel keys simultaneously.

You may have to cycle the power off and on once the change is made to make it take effect. Also make sure your making the change in the model that you want to use on the simulator.
