I had 1-2 glitches per flight yesterday, very dry and hot weather here in Sweden right now. The receiver seem to go into safe more, heli droping like a stone each time, not fun at all. Was hovering inverted when I got first glitch yesterday, was so close to crash.

Since I had problems earlier I already made some changes:

1) silicone oil on belt

2) Grounded boom and pulley to frame

3) tried to have the antenna as far from frame as possible

4) Receiver as far backward as possible in frame

5) BEC/ESC as far ahead as possible on the frame

So all this was not helping at all, maybe last option is to Ground ESC neg. to motor mount/carbon frame.
I do not likte the idea of above, but what else can I do ?

I use JR 9XII with pcm receiver on 35Mhz band.

Anyone else have had same type of problem

Sorry no - I don't think that I have heard of Hurri owners having similar problems

glitching is one reason I went with 2.4ghz instead of FM.. my 450 currently has FM and it gets similar glitches at times. The best I could suggest short of converting to 2.4ghz is.. make sure you have a ferrite ring in place on the wire coming from the ESC to the RX.. also try to make sure the antenna is as far as possible from the motor and ESC....

also make sure there are no parts of the CF frame rubbing against either CF or metal as this can cause RF interference. that sudden drop in power can scare the crap out of even the most experienced pilots (should have seen the guy flying my 450 when it happened..he landed and handed me the TX).. now that I have a DX7 I'll be upgrading the rx in my 450

I bought the JR 9XII not long time ago and like it very much ... donnnt want to sell it and spend another 600US.

Will try to ground the frame, this wil be my last try. Will let you know if it works.

you could always try something like this... not sure what ESC you have..http://www.helidirect.com/product_info.php?products_id=4668 it does require the use of a BEC or Voltage regulator and receiver battery.. which should be the standard setup on the hurricane to begin with.. but it should make sure there is no RF coming from the motor and ESC to the RX... it's at least worth a try....

I was so desperate that I grounded the frame with the ESC, and not one single glitch today even thought it is very hot and dry.

Hope this solved my problem, will fly harder now.
