In that heat, I'd rubberband a block of dry ice on top on the esc, the battery and my forehead.

putting a pc fan on the front opening or under the nose of canopy may be needed

or a thierd party manufacture needs to make a main gear with the fans in them like the rexx

Here it only got to be about 111 today, but it was 111 at 1000, and it fells like you are standing in a blow drier. I put a BEC on the blade and got about 8 mins out of the pack, until I landed and hit a rock with the tail rotor. Parts are on order, and will be here in a few days,,,,,I hope. No biggie it is part of flying in a desert, with no paving. But we are building a heli pad for the Mosul Flying club, and a boat dock for the Mosul yacht club. Sorry it took so long but I have been REALLY busy.

Yep, setting records here this weekend from what I have heard. Easily 97+ right now with heat index well over 100. Personally, I keep telling myself it is too cold. You know, reverse psychology.

Well, I have the coffee, but it was definately a shorts & t-shirt day today. I just have to keep my door closed so no one has to see me skiny landing gear.

Damn, its in the 50's here, just had our last frost 2 weeks ago, and to think it will be winter here again in 5 months. On the sunny side we have been getting good rain to grow all those crops and have lots of oil up here, the economy is strong here.

Well, I do not have a shed to offer, but I do have a kennel that is covered and it has a nice three inch gravel floor plus a grooming table. ;)

I hate both........can you really fly the B400 in that heat? do you have an IR to measure the heat?

Kindling Maker

I have an IR to measure with. I usually run around 150 on my ESC and about 135 on the motor if I remember rite. It has gotten a lot better since I put the BEC on it. The temp came way down. But I also fly my CX2 and I fly it naked. well until I get a body for it. I am going to order the KA-50 body as soon as I get recovered from the R+R.
