Just about anywhere......part # is JRPSG241MG, just do a search for them.

Nice, I was wondering about those too. Do your 285's make much noise (chatter)?

Yes, but I've read it is normal for digital servos to constantly try to center themselves......so thats a good thing.

Are you running 6volts? The chattering is even more louder than 4.8V

where do you find if you are running 4 or 6 volts?

If aren't using a seperate BEC and the stock ESC you are at 4 volts.

Yup Yup, I'm using a SportBEC so to run in 6V is just a flip of the switch :)

And it's quieter with externals? Is it more efficient? Sorry for the Q's I'm somewhat nooby! haha

Ok lemme give you a birds eye view of this. We love noobies here like me. Lets say if you upgraded your servos to analog like hs-55,56,65 you can run stock esc bec 4.8v. Ok if you ran digital servos like jr285or futaba 9650 you need to upgrade an external bec like sportbec, ubec and ccbec. Are you with me still

Ok the reason for running external bec the digital servos requires alot of amps, and this amps heat up the stock esc. Now you run efficiently and cooler esc.

Now here is the catch not all digital servos can handle 6volts like the futaba 9254 or 3154. So now you if you have external bec with 6v you will burn the servo. Then you will need a step-down regulator for that servo. This is a case for people using analog hs-65mg in cyclics and 9254 digital servo in the tail, you see its a combination of analogs and digitals.

If you need more info I'm pretty sure someone here can explain this to you more in depth. Here is another clarifiacation all thou you can run analogs with 6volts also, it makes it fast and high performance but the servo life is shortened by doing 6volt.

Please correct me if I'm wrong or if my info is not correct.

I have the 285's for cyclic and the DSP60 for my tail. the specs for the dsp60 say 4.8-6V so it should be ok right?

Yup it will work. If you choose to go external bec to bump voltage to 6volts. My advise to you is SportBec no wires to cut just solder power leads and plug and play.

If you go the ubec, ccbec, parkbec or smartbec you will disable the internal bec red wire of the esc going to the rx. Still going to solder power leads and plug bec unit in the bind/batt slot of the rx.

Do I make sense to you? If not pm me and I can show you pics of what I'm talking about.
