Note the hits on the sub-forum.
Note the ads/articles in the trades regarding the 200.
Note the attention from manufacturers and vendors.
Note the more experienced pilots showing up to chat.
Note the FACT, that this little heli kicks @ss, for lot's less $$$ (but you knew that...)
TAKE NOTE! we seem to be going places.....
I invite you all to introduce a friend to the 200, get a second bird, stock up on parts (I'm doing all three right now...). Let's make her the VW, or Model-T of the heli industry, we just need a bit more momentum, we're almost there...

You know it's a great product, when owners are promoting the heck out of something... The bottom line is that we love the product enough to want to tell everyone about it, and share our experiences here.... I don't trust magazine reviews, ads, vendor reviews, or videos by the pros... but when it comes to everyday average owner reviews, it's always honest and true. We only promote a product if we love it, and warn others if something truely sucks doodoo. Hope Gaui 200 gains and maintain the momentum... having a bigger user base is always a good thing for the end user :)

I am seriously debating making this my next purchase. I have been flying my rex450 for a few weeks now after its completion and have made HUGE progress. I fly circuits at my field and loops, rolls, flips, are no problem at all for me. Sim time has really paid off since I only have 5 actual flights on my brand new 450. I bought a combatwing for my plank fix and thats gonna be fun but Im def considering picking up a 200 kit to piece together. Maybe Ill use the Hitec hg5000 off my rex and put a spartan on the 450. Hmmmm... What do you all think?

450 deserves a good gyro & servos,

You'l,, do worse in life, get the Gaui..

Hmmmm maybe I shall. So the hitec is pretty light and would be at good use on the 200 correct? This may just happen. Birthday is on the 15th :)

if you get the Gaui 200 you will not be disappointed, sure i was skeptical at first, i wanted a small heli, looked at the copter x 200 read all the forums about it, have not seen anything but hovering from people, and the piggy weight of it too..
then i found the Gaui 200, saw a couple of vids of people flying them...got it.. yes it looks fragile, its not, i was at the field where i fly, had a brain fart, heli hit my car pretty much full bore ( i did get the TH in time! ) i thought oh boy its toast, i just broke the wood blades and tweeked the mixer arm, bent tail boom, didn't even bend the main shaft !!! i was shocked..
i have also corkscrewed out of a flip into a tree, nothing again !!!! (except for a few scratches climbing the tree to get it back) the one time it has cost me money was i was hot dogging it in my garage, yeah i know not a good idea, but i needed a fix... i hit a metal folding chair leg, the washout assy blew up but the plastic bades just had a dent in them, and bent main shaft..
with any crash the grip screws need to be replaced.
i run idle 1 95-80-90 and 100 flat on idle 2 with 18C 850mah batteries, so no low headspeed there.
pretty bad assed for such a small fragile heli...:Bang
i suggest it to anyone with CP experience.
:whip now go get your self one now !!!!:whip
sorry i don't post more but i read here every day !

Grey, your OD'ing on 200 Heli-Crack again....;)
I think your right though, i started considering the 200 back at the start of the year and have seen a surge in the last 2 months or so. I don't really care who's driving sales as long as they continue to rise!! As others have mentioned before, the more 200 owners there are, the more 3rd party parts and accessories there will be :)
If i had to guess, it would be the Asian markets and the whole "small is beautiful thing" in Japan, that is really driving sales, but there is no denying the HF stats... more people are sitting up and taking note!!
P.S. I'm still working on a friend... he's dumped the PicoZ for a 4#3... just gotta get him to make the next small step!!

Hah,
Thanks Crabfu!
From you I will accept that most graceously, and take the pain to type back.
Gotta lurk, though, been 2-3 days, can't find anything on keyboard. Back in Dallas, my doc tells me I 'ffed up bigtime. Maybe probs later. but I can still fly. Cant touch small stuff, or use right hand. Cant fix washouts, so I'll kill b-400 insteand...

Pete,
official story is that I got my hand caught in a door.
The real story is that my daughter was visiting, and opened the french doors in back,
wind caught em, and there she is, all 5'3" and glass doors moving.
so stuck my hand in the door on the hinge side and tried to slow it. Dumb, I learned about mass and leverage a long time ago.
thought Id be okay, but had to go in, thanks to "aunt maude- rotiorhead58" for some timely chiding. three have torn ligaments, one finger broke twice, but was still promoting 200!!
good news is all thumbes work..
better news, for you guys is I won't be typing much for a while.

Hi
New here and pretty new in RC heli strated with coax, then bought an EP100 PRO but surely I did not deserved it, never managed to hover it, crashed many times was not worht the repair... Then got the
KING2 and took couple the receiver and gyro out of the EP100... I got to learn a bit more about setup of CP helip...but still crashed many time and spend quite lot of money on it...I can hover the king2 but still I find it quite unstable with all the blink 43 belt pulley , GY401... Because really want to hover indoor in my little living room in that little country Netherland ( no big living room :-) ) I decided again to go for GAUI with lot of doubt about it....saw many nice video...ok those people are pro, me a newbie....Got an EP200SD RTF....and wooowwwwww... I finally could hover it and was sooooooooooo surprised about its stability.... when I got it the servos were not placed the best way and the swash was not at the proper distance ( when checking the manual for 0 pitch)..So changed it all, pitch curve etc....and got it right...sooo stable.
I sure have some experience but not that much and find not only the EP200SD very stable but I find it even more than the KING2... I love that heli its simply beautiful and soooo fun to fly that I'm not sure I be using the KIN2 that much anymore...
Just a question, I don't like that much the maxell servos ( not sure the brand) what would be very good servos to purchase for the EP200 any recommendation?
Thanks for all the thread there, learning a lot

HS45s are the most popular and fit perfectly; Graybeard swears by his ultralight Dymond D47s, which take some fiddling to make fit. Spektrum DS60s also work. There are several choices for the tail; I use the Logictech 2100 gyro with matching 3100 servo, an excellent combination on this little bird.

Hope you recover soon man

Indeed on both guys. Pete got that one nailed. Would not change a thing though, but back to flying,or learning in hours. Sticks are easier than keyboard, though, back to nuisance level in a few weeks
hunt & peck sucks, now time to try voice recognition software, Dragon naturally speeking, also new walky 4#3(n) on order. 200 back up, New mod tba in a couple of days, assumming it works...
