I bought a used, 3rd hand Bergen Intrepid EB last year. I am just putting the finishing touches on a rebuild. The servos are all digtal Futaba S9252s. More torque and faster than any servos I have ever used. 92 in/oz of torque and .14 seconds through 60 degrees of travel. Are these going to be O.K. on an EB....(used primarily for AP and annoying the neighbors).

The other question I have, for those familiar with digitals, is that the box they come in says 'NI-CD only. I use Durilite 7.4V regulated to 5.1. Should be O.K., contrary to the Futaba box warning, shouldn't it?

I'll be, your right, it does say Ni-cd only.....Hmmm.

We have been using these servos on everything from the Industrials weighing much more than your EB, to modifying them for the pan and tilt systems, without issue, they are a good reliable servo.

I always use 4.8 packs or regulate to 5.3 or less. The certainly are not rated for 6 volts.

SeaHawk -

I have been running Duralite "ion" and TP "Lipo" with fromeco regulators on my Bergens with 9252's for quite some time now.

thanks. I do remember reading about limiting the voltage somewhere too. Looks like the Durilite Lithium Ion 7.4 volt battry is good to go...as long as it's regulted down.
Thanks
