Hey guys got my new hobby wing esc today, also got the program card with it. The instructions say that i need to hook up a receiver battery pack to the card because i am using a separate bec. The problem is I am still on the stock tx as some of you know so i do not have the battery pack. Is there another way to power the program card. Now the esc is already programed mostly the way i want it out of the box except for the start mode which is set to normal. I wanted to change it to soft, would you guys agree. Any ideas?

Normal is fine.
your BEC is acting as a battery pack LOL, simply plug it into the card to power it up.

Oh ya ,duh didn't even get that far in my head, i was reading the instructions to closely. Well thats stupid why don't they just add that into the instructions. It just says "if you are not using a esc with a built in bec you must use a 4.8-6v battery pack". It should say "if you are not using a bec at all you need to use a separate battery pack." Especially for people like me. Thanks bro, i had myself all in a tizzy. Its good to be back with you guys.

The other day I was wondering why everyone around here disappears just after dinner. Then it dawned on me - lot of you guys are half way around the world from me and therefore about 1/2 a day ahead of me. I finish dinner and head to my workshop and you guys are already going to bed. Well you're all just going to have to stay up later. :YeaBaby:

Sure, I've been up to Itasca and Paul Bunyan state parks by Nevis many times. Fishing has been a little slow this spring. It's been so cold and rainy they're still pretty deep and the spawning hasn't really started yet. The lakes and forests are big reasons why I put up with all the taxes and continue living here.

Ah yes the scenery up there is really incredible nothing like being the north woods. Nevis is the town we would stay in, my dad had some childhood friends who lived there. And ya i 've been to itaska a few times, when i tell people i walked across the mississippi river they look at me like 'Huh"

Yea Tom it is beautiful. Especially in the spring and late fall.
Dierwolf - it's too bad your time in the US was limited to Florida. You really have to get away from the coasts to see what the majority of this country and people are like.
Hey, it's lunch time on the island D, throw me a sandwich will ya?

No problem, it's hard sometimes, what we're thinking isn't always what our fingers are typing! :)
