Good morning guys!

It's just before 7am here. Beautiful calm, sunny day. I love flying in the early morning. The park's empty, the wind's calm, and the sun's at my back and my black Lab lays on his back in the grass soaking up the sun.

Just got back home and I'm enjoying a good cup of coffee and a couple donuts (once a cop always a cop :)).

Went through 3 battery packs. Nose in and slow circuits. I love flying the Belts! I'm not a 3d guy and I really like the smooth stable flight of my Belts. I'm thinking of putting stickers on them - "Setup by the Guys at the Freak!" There is a quite noticeable difference between the Belts right out of the box, and a carefully done "Freak" setup!

Yesterday a guy asked why my Belt hovered so much better than his Blade 400. I said "Well obviously, I'm much better pilot!" :rolling Then I told him about the Freak. Then I told him how much I paid for my Belt. He was really unhappy then, as he paid $500 for his Blade. :YeaBaby: Wait 'til he sees my Exi. He'll be sick!

Speaking of which, the Exi is just about done. Went with Tower Power servos and all stock Esky electronics for now. Just waiting on the new pinion gear.

What a great day!

I am glad you had a great day
Love the story of the blade guy :rolling
You should post your pics of the exi on the "I know what my next heli is" thread

Morning Jack:) Afternoon Erwin:)

Im impressed that you mastered nose in so soon Jack I suppose Lama flying helped.
I still only got one battery and used it avoiding a group of highly curious little calves that
the thoughtless farmer has put in my field:roll:, well it is his field I suppose but none seems to have any idea of priority these days! as all the other fields have grain in them I had no choice but to dodge the little pests who kept running up to it every time I brought it below 15 feet......

Still a perfect day though, flying it is just so lovely, I too enjoy just making it behave in a scale like way in the air, though I will learn 3d flying as well.

mmm... donuts.

OK, the coffee is brewing, back to the reply. I can't imagine how anybody survives this hobby without finding these forums. I just saw a post on a Finnish board from somebody who was going on his third Belt CP before learning that all this information can be found online. All totaled before learning to hover :DOH

Besides, when did you find the time to learn nose in, you magnificent devil? That's amazing progress! Seems like you only got it a couple of weeks ago. :clappp

And they say Lamas don't help at all... :D

I already had nose in down pretty well with the Lamas. Did a little practicing on the sim, and I actually find the Belt easier to keep nose in. I think it's a combination of it being bigger and the control inputs required are much smaller. Ah shoot, my wife's looking for me, I gotta run hide...

I'm happy to say that calfs in the field is one problem I don't have!

I've heard lots of people bad mouth the little co-axs and say they don't help. All I can say is, for me, I never would have got the Belt in the air if I hadn't had all the experience with the Lamas. And lots of help from the guys here too.
