Hey guys,
What glow system are you using on this heli?

Is anyone using a 2 in 1?

Will a 2 in 1 work with the new ar7100r when it is out??
Thanks

You'd be crazy to use a piece of crap 2 in 1 from Align on an Aurora, stay away from that one

I was wondering if anyone else makes them?
Not the align one,

I am using a remote glow plug...... NO 2in1 here as with the new Spektrum AR7100 the 2in1 is a waste of weight!

Had my 2 in 1 just die in mid flight 2 weeks ago and I am just ready to get my Raptor 90se back in the air again tomorrow. Went with straight 8v setup this time. Staying away from the align reg's as I've had the new 2 in 1 fail in flight and the older model fail between flights on my Raptor 50 V2.

If your going to run a regulator, and want a on board glow, a great set up is the Fromeco Arizona with the Switchglo. Possibly the SGP Reactor X as well, both look like awesome regulators, and from personal experience with the Arizona, i have never had 1 problem with the regulator....now that pin switch on the other hand is a different story :D.

Switchglo is awesome, flick a switch, loud beeping noise, and the engine is started! Love the bloody thing to death.

And the Switchglo price is ridiculous.

Thanks for the feedback.
If I run thre ar7100r, then can I "y" lead both a carbsmart and a switchglow into the same output lead from the rx
throttle / ail / ele / aux 1 / gear / rudder / then aux 2 into carbsmart & switchglow??

Are the switchglows reliable.

Edit this question, I've just found a post giving all relevant info.

Cheers

Watch my setup video I just posted as here is what you can do.

Set up your gov menu so normal is a positive number and idle 1/2 are negative numbers.
Now you can plug the switch glow into GEAR channel and when in normal it will turn on and when in idle it will be off. This is the only way I can see to do it.

Discussed this with Bob last night, and Im not sure what %value the switch glo sees whether its positive or negative. I know I reversed my Aux 3 so when I had the switchglo ON I wanted the switch to be down, which is a negative number....But still not sure what it sees to be on. I would also bet that if you hooked it to T Hold witha Pos or Neg value it will turn on to while using the GOV menu. No the Built in gov will not hold the headspeed because you are below the 20% throttle in hold so no worries there. And the # would have to be 100% or more for the switch glo to turn on.

Ill be looking into this when I get a 7100 and post what I find out.

I haven't used a SwitchGlo myself, but I've been looking into them.

Talking about using your T-Hold switch, would turning off T-Hold turn off the switch glow right away? ---Or does the switch glow stay on no matter what for a length of time?

Reason I ask, is because I pretty much never start in T-hold.
I did on my Futaba's, but not my 9303.
It sorta pissed me off to find out that throttle trim doesnt work in T-Hold,
I like to be able to use throttle trim or finesse the throttle stick when trying to start.
Thats one of 2 things I miss about my Futaba radios.

My understanding is YES it would turn it off right away... No timer built in...

The switch glo turns off after 10 seconds of being or once the switch it is linked to is switched off.
