I have broken the "ring" around the Microheli tail unit - the one that tightens the whole tail unit to the boom.
As far as I have been able to see/find there are still no spare parts available for the MH tail.
Does that mean $$$ down the drain, a new MH tail unit (more $$$) or the stock tail back on? I find it hard to believe ...
Anyone?

peter, when i crashed my mh tail, i used the stock tail box, and sides, and moded the mh pitch slider to fit. it does suck that no parts support is there from mh.

Could I ask you to explain in details what you did?

Haven't asked them yet - will do - thanks

Peter, when i emailed them about my tail problems this week, they thought that i was after buying spares... they told me to email the part numbers through and they could dispatch them straight from Vietnam. Doesn't help me but from the email it sounded like they were happy to sell spare parts... see email below...
> Hi Phil,
>Yes, you can buy the parts replacement from our company by email. We shall send this parts from Viet nam.

from support@microheli.com
Its a shame really, coz i can tell from the tone of the other emails that they wanna help and are a good company...:) i just have to get past the misunderstanding that my tail was brand new when i spotted the problem, rather than it being due to a crash... I offered to post back to Vietnam or Canada if only i could get an RMA out of them!!! I'm sure in time someone at MH will get the right end of the stick and get things moving; as i said before it looks like a great improvement on stock and i just wanna try it out.

Thanks
Just double checked their web site, and they only have the complete tail unit listed.
Will write them an E-mail and ask if they will "split the unit up into spare parts"

yes...just use the stock gaui side plates and tail box. use the mh pitch slider and grips. where the pitch slider bolts onto the tail box bracket, use a spacer(brass) and make it a little longer. when you bolt it on, you'll see what i mean. here's a pic.
