I'm getting an iMac this summer, and was wondering if anyone had any problems running Phoenix on an iMac running bootcamp. What kind of FPS and performance are people getting using bootcamp to run phoenix on any mac, or an iMac? Thanks.

Capi is running Phoenix on an iMac and I don't think he has any issues with it. I'm running it on a new MacBookPro and with every graphics option maxed out it flies silky smooth, though i've never toggled on the framerate to see what it's at. The only time I get a slight framerate drop is on the two or 3 scenes with water on them.

Boot Camp runs it silky smooth even on my first-generation, Core Duo MacBook Pro. I can even run it in Parallels from my Boot Camp partition, although some of the advanced graphics options are unavailable, particularly highest quality shadows and antialiasing.

No problems at all on my 2.4GHz 24" iMac ... the only way to play on this great sim :) I get a fixed 60 FPS with 1900x1200 resolution, everything is turned on full except anti-aliasing.

Runs great on my 2 year old MacBook Pro. I have all the goodies turned on and it is 60 FPS and smooth to fly on.

This is all good to hear.

I have an 8-core Mac with a ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT graphics card (I do video production and need all the horsepower I can afford).

I wasn't considering a simulator before. But starting to change my mind now that the time available for real "stick time" is getting limited.

Thanks for sharing the info!

Dean.
