I bought a JR 2720 with RS77S receiver from a local hobby shop, the tx is 35mhz, the only legal frequency here, however in the setup screen of the tx I can choose from high 34mhz frequencies as well, and the RS77S receiver does pick up this frequency. How is this possible? Even if my tx is a grey import there are no countries that use 34mhz? And why does the RS77S even scan in this range? Or do some countries use 34mhz?

Thank you

I see that some countries rc band start from 34.95mhz. What I would like to know is will a 34.95mhz crystal work in 'n 35mhz receiver that I bought in South Africa?

Yes, in the UK 34.950 is our lowest frequency and runs up to 35.300 MHz.

The RS77 (35MHz) will scan this IF that freq is legal in your area. Basically the centre frequencies are preloaded into the receiver. When you instigate a scan, it checks on those frequencies only, so if you are using a (for example) a German receiver from Graupner, it will not be 100% compatible with your transmitter unless you have one from the same geographical area.

Does that make sense ??
