Hi guys. I´m a newbie to the whole chopper scene. Have a HBK2 with brushless motor upgraded batteries and a new 43t pulley and belt to increase tail rotor speed. I had rudder authority issues. Since iínstalled the new pulley and belt the tail keeps oscillating left and right when at about half throttle. I have turned the gain to full on the stock gyro but no improvement. Any constructive advice would be appreciated.

Usually when the tail "hunts" back and forth with no rudder input, the gain is too high. Lower the gain in small steps until the hunting stops. Each time you make an adjustment you have to make sure the battery is disconnected. With the TX on, when you plug the battery into the Heli, the gyro will reset with the new settings.

Use small adjustments, it usually doesn't take much.

If you go too far the tail will shake back and forth. Between the point of shaking, and the point where the hunting starts is the correct setting.

Thanks guys. Looks like the problem was not disconnecting the battery each time for the reset. Great forum.

Steep learning curve for the CP heli's. Most of the learning comes from the repairing. Although, this is getting less and les so i must be doing something right.:)
