Here are pictures of what is left of my Black Hawk 450...it was noble bird and it flew well :noteworthy...unfortunately it's pilot was not good enough to save it from its fate with a chain link fence at extremely high speed! :arggg:
I tore down the rotor head and rebuilt it completely using Finless videos...I had a problem with tracking going out in 3d moves...what ever I had done while rebuilding fixed that problem. So I took it and started pushing it a little harder. Wind was around 10mph but the heli was performing admirably in...so I pushed on. I was doing flips, rolls, FFF, even tried some stall turns...I then attempted to pull 2 flips back to back...well a really strong gust of wind, loss of orientation and a chain link fence finished my BH450 for good...I broke the frame, tore up the main gear, bent spindle shaft, bent fly bar, trashed some align 325 woodies, ripped the tail off the boom, ruined my CF paddles , tail blades, ripped the landing gear off the frame (the landing gear intact), bent the steel tail support :wow2:, and stripped my Futaba 9257 (only $15 to rebuild...Thank You God!) All the other electronics survived...rx, gyro, motor, ESC and all the cyclic servos are operable...:)
So this evening...I ordered my new heli...the Gazaur Mars 480 :YeaBaby:
