While doing some maintenance and redialing my fan, I noticed that once I put everything together there was a slight clunk when I turned the fan by hand. It appears that the connecting rod is a loose fit on the crankshaft.
Can anyone that perhaps has a new connecting rod or their engine apart measure the hole that slips over the pin on the crank, or the crankshaft pin itself? I'd hate to order a connecting rod and have it be the crankshaft that is worn.
Thanks,
Angelo
PS - what sucks is that either way I'm screwed. Nobody seems to have the parts in stock, but I can at least backorder them.
