Maybe pumped is causing this but on my non-pumped I am up against the plate. Either way this is something that may very and good point.... If you having a problem try backing it off....

Did everyone know except me that the remote receiver for the AR7000 will not work on the AR7100.

Nope it don't no light in the remote receiver when turned on! Tried two different ones and same thing. Even unplugged the one that came with the AR71000 and tried it that way with the one for the AR7000 nothing. so don't be dumb like me and think that the AR7000 will work cause it won't..Just a heads up. $29.00 out the window.....

Could this be due to different programming versions of the firmware on the remote from the AR7000, is it a bit older or has it had 'Quick Connect' update?

Tim.

I was using the 7000 rec on the 7100 with no problem. I had to beacuse the stock one was defective out of the box.

Ok found out just how dumb I am ( I do belong to the old farts club ) I forgot I had to bind all over again to get both remotes to work. So the remote for the AR7000 does work on the AR7100. Disreguard this post it was posted by a dummy. At least I figured it out myself..

I want to use the align sensor for the 7100r. I heard it will work. I have a spare jr male plug. so my questions is what should connect to what?

Anyone have their AR7100 beep at you?

Mine does but not on a regular timed beep. Don't now why or if it's trying to tell me something? I couldn't find anything in the Book about beeps.

You can, and it's working great.
You just need to solder the spare rx plug you have to the sensor but solder them like this:

White-white
Red-black
Black-red

From some reason align changed the color codes that's why you need to do it like this.

Yep Carson, just change polarity of the sensor (swap red and black) and the Align sensor will work.

Bill, beep? thats odd... there is no type of speaker in the RX and I have had it apart. You sure it's the RX beeping?

Bob,
Please could you advise me on the following.
I have had a problem with 1 of my ar7100r's
All the info is in the 700 section in a thread.

http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=87689

If I am running 8v on cyclics and 6v on throttle, is there any reason this could cause any manfunction, ( ie not all 8v )
Also with the problem that I had, ( you did post on my thread already ), If , ( and I know it is a big If ) it is a problem due to running my cyclis on 8v, then is there any technical reason that dropping in a regulator could help out?

I am sorry if this is not the correct place to ask, but I do not have that technical knowledge of the electronics re; the problem I have had.

Again, many thanks for your input.

Bill, are you running a switchglo? If so, that could be beeping at you every once in a while.

i already installed a 7100R, calibrating done right and if i turn fan with hand i see red liglt flashing so the sensor works good, but when i switch to stunt conditions the governor doesn't work !!!! the engine run at 100% ( i've thr curve at 100-100-100 and so on ) also if i set governot in st1 condition to 20% !!!!!.

i saw on your video there's something connected to gear channel of your rx .... what's that ????

thanks, Jack

Which radio are you using? If you are using a dx7 is you aux2 set to gyro and your gear set to aux2 in the system setup?

i'm using a jr x9303 2.4 and my gyro (spartan ds760) is on aux2 channel

On device select menu i've GOV under GEAR channel and GYR under AUX2 channel as shown on Bob's videos !!

I have a dx7, I don't know anything about the x9303 but in the 9100r manual it says that for your radio that "the gyro gain channel will plug into the gear channel" For the dx7 I have the gyro gain plugged into the aux2 channel and my carbsmart is plugged into the gear channel.

I would think that if the 9303 works anything like a dx7 you would be able to check if you have it set up right by going into the gov menu and flipping the switch on the 9303 that switches the gov modes and watching the different positions flash as you flick the switch into different gov settings.

I was able to check if my gov was working by setting its value to about 20 in position 1 and 0 in position 2 on the aux (dx7) switch. I spooled it up in normal mode in position 2 (set to 0 or off) to about mid stick and then I flipped the switch to position 1 (set to 20) and it limited my revs back down. That way I knew the gov was working. From that point I went into idle 1 which was set to a 100 flat curve, then started increasing the value of gear channel (dx7) to increase my head speed to the rpm that I wanted.

I don't know if that will help or make it more confusing

Jeff

if you see 7100r manual ( the page about 9303 radio ) you'll see gear channes is assigned to governor and aux2 channel is assignet to gyro gain and so i did !! ( see image below )

as soon as i calibrate my governor everything works fine, green led flash and stop flashing once i switched again after i raised and lowered the throttle stick throughout its full range.

i usually don't use gov in normal condition so i putted it off ( 0% ); i did thr curve in st1 and 2 at 100% flat and regulated the governor in its menu.

as soon as i go to idle1/2 the engone go to its maximum rpm also if i put 20% in gov menu.

i hope u understand what i mean ... my english it's not pretty good :(

take care

Jack

I'm having the same problem, but only on my 600N. On my Synergy, I had to back off the sensor from the backing plate and the governor started working correctly. I'm going to do the same on my 600N to see if the problem goes away.

All 3 of mine have been working fine since I got them. 2 of them I epoxied and the other one I have not. I'm going to take that one apart to see.

SO on the ys do you need to back off the sensor or is it just on some?

JodyJ

On my YS91SR and YS91ST, I had to back the sensor off the backing plate.

My 2 are still working great but I did fix the antenna myself. Fireup also has one that he is pounding on a lot with his Trex700. He also fixed the antenna himself.

Hi Bob, great vids!

What do you think about using an UBEC to power the AR7100? Wouldn´t it be nice to save about 100 gramms on an unnecessary rx-battery and have 6V as an precise incoming voltage to operate standard swash-servos at the same time?
