Bought a Hurri 550!

Took the plunge and snatched up errou's XES Pro package (http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=75356) via the forum. Have been wanting to give Gaui a chance and always found myself looking at the 550. Parts go for a decent price, runs on a wide variety of power configs, cheap blades, BIG.
I'll be impatiently waiting on its arrival here in socal.

Needless to say I finally will be flying something I can see!

Would like to hear any thoughts on the heli/package, upgrades changes, dislikes...

congrats!! and welcome to the Hurri family! looking at what you got, you have EVERYTHING you'll need to have a great flying heli. you'll love it! it's a LOT more stable than a 450.. it just hangs in the air during a hover like it was on a string. you have a great motor in it already as well. I just maidened mine last weekend and it's a night and day difference between the Hurri and my 450 (450 has now been declared crash test heli) I kind of wish he had been selling that package when I was about to buy mine....killer deal!

of course, there are requirements for joining the Gaui family... that is to have a lot of fun with your heli and to give Jungle Bob and Wazzer a hard time because they live and fly in an island paradise and like to rub it in our faces during the winter

Having said that........can't wait to get back home to Borneo, I had forgotten how much the following suck over here in the UK (here for my annual visit)

1. The weather...colder than a witch's tit
2. Fat women in tight clothing (with bad attitudes)
3. Cost of living (geez!!)
4. Everyone is angry all of the time
5. Food (tasteless garbage)
6. Traffic (road rage)
7. Cost of Heli parts!!!

Wanna get back to the beaches, babes sunshine etc etc

I'm jealous, that's a hell of a deal and nice kit for sure!

Mine should be arriving later this week; not nearly as polished and weeks away from ever flying but it will happen at some point! In the meantime I'm busy crashing my T-Rex 450's, just had another hit this morning at the park. Lost orientation and pancaked it in, still assessing the damage but MAN I can't wait until I have a bigger helo just to be able to SEE the darned thing in the air!

lol.. the guy I fly with recently made a lawn dart out of his trex-450.. hit the only concrete in a 7 acre field.. mangled his spider gear and busted his frame.. along with the normal stuff (main shaft, spindle, fly bar, boom, boom support, main gear,) and his 9650 died shortly after rebuilding it... yeah... there's something to be said about a heli you can see and isn't quiet as quick as a 450...

Thanks Drew! I couldn't pass up on this deal, and I'm surprised so many others passed up on it too. Too many good parts for less than half of what I would have had to spend.
My 450 has been having some good days. First loops just on Sunday. I love FF and 8's. I HATE it when I get messed up because its too small!.

Looking forward to swinging some 500mm blades.

Greatest bunch of guys on the web....except for a few that live on an "island"....but we "tolerate" them as long as they keep posting pictures of the beach and the bikinis..

Your going to love the 550...easy to see and flys great.

You got one heck of a deal !!!! wish I needed one when that was abvailable...

It was 96 here the other day, a odd event in Columbus, Ohio in June and I flew my T-Rex 450; probably NOT a good idea to hover it directly over my head to get that cooling down-wash but who can resist??!? :P

The women locally have faces like a 'bulldog licking piss off a thistle'. You know what they call an attractive woman around here? A tourist!! It's bloody freezin'. the local park is covered in dog's doo and it's expensive! Popped into Mick Charles models the other day......just for a giggle.......soooooo expensive!

Have you guys thought about changing the prescription for your glasses??

Could be cheaper than buying a new heli set up!!!

lol.. funny you should mention that... I just got a new prescription.. so now I can see my BIG heli far away...the 450, it'll still be a gnat compared to the hurri
