OK I shot these videos VERY ad-hoc. I did the segments both before and after I had a AR7100 RX as I wanted to share some info. You might look at this as a bunch of babble BS..... I don't know but I thought rather than throw this all away in light of the AR7100 RX, that this was worth sharing.

The end desire was to explain flight systems and power and then finish with HOW to do 8V setups.

Video Link ->RX Flight Power Systems History (42 Megs) (http://video.helifreak.com/?subpath=/finless/spektrum&filename=history.wmv)

Video Link ->RX Flight Power Systems... How Power is Distributed (138 Megs) (http://video.helifreak.com/?subpath=/finless/spektrum&filename=distribution.wmv)

Video Link ->Ways to setup an 8V system (66 Megs) (http://video.helifreak.com/?subpath=/finless/spektrum&filename=8vsetups.wmv)

Watch these for knowledge or don't.... It's all Ad-hoc... All I ask is that you don't beat me up about them. I wont get into debates about them so people that dissagree.... Well just let it go...... I won't argue. I just think there are some things here that might be useful info for some people..... Rather than TOSS the videos I shot I felt there was some useful info....

Enjoy,
Bob

IMHO, anything that is a tip or otherwise shared from one Heli user to another, especially a person as experienced or knowlegable as you Bob, is welcomed!

Those that disagree, or do things differently, cool. But for those of us that have not attempted this type of setup yet (myself included) welcome this new knowledge!

Thanks Bob! Keep up that great work!

Rick.

Bob, you don't know how to make a bad video! Not really wanting to kiss too much ass but its true when I say yours are the best and most comprehensive on the net. I'll tell you what, you could do a video on cleaning mud and grass off of heli skids and you'd make it interesting.

So no worries because this set of vids, just like the rest, are spot on.

Keep 'em coming. We all love ya for the hard work and time you put into these.

true that would be a good video. I just moved to 8 volt on my 600 and really like it.
I took to 16g wires put a deans on one end and two rec plugs(redundent) on the other. Two conections going into the rec made sence to me.

Bob,

Can show how to setup the new AR7100 Receiver for an electric heli, my main concern is where do I plug in the ESC? Can this receiver be used for electrics?

Thanks

Don

Basically you connect it to throttle channal as usual, this is only if you have an ESC without internal bec.
