Everyone probably already knoiws this but what the heck. I was flying one of my 200's today and noticed that the tail would kick quite a bit with punchouts and the motor would bog. I checked the rotor pitch and wow, must have been running at least +25 and -20. That would explain it. :arggg:

do you use a pitch guage or the method in the manual?

The ball links are affixed to far out on the cyclic servo arms, Buzzmeister.
You probably got it set up with the travel turned down in the TX, then sumpthin changed..
I'm not home so can't check, but I think the spec is 7.5mm from the servo output shaft.
BTW, the "fold 90, use protractor method works so good I'm not even looking for a pitch tool for my 200. I think it's more accurate due to the 200% leverage factor, and I'll probably dump the guage I got for the others and use this for everything.
To set up the swash, I've also used <this> technique on the 200 and the walky: I get the landing gear shimmed so the mainshaft is vertical, biggest part of the trick, but try eyeballing to a book set on edge on the bench, amazingly accurate.
Next put an ancient, Ivory, Japanese chopstick on the flat of the swash, takes some time to get it balanced.
Then measure the distance from the bench to the stick tips, do this four times, first aileron, then pitch, then repeat. Takes some measuring and and burning quite a bit of incense, but works pretty good as long as your karma's good and your ancestors still like you.
Ends up comparing very well or better than swash tools... NO, you can't use an flybar or 200mm piece of 1mm carbon rod from lhs, gotta be ancient Japanese chopsticks!!

I might be able to hook you up with some ancient chinese chopsticks ;), but knowing china's manufacturing track record, I'd go with the japanese ones.

You don't want the Chinese chopsticks, they have mercury in them :)

Good points!
Maybe we should try using a diving rod...
..and a vid to show how.
Heck yeah, that would be a great Finless spoof!!!
And wrap it up with a fake ad for Trueblood 1.2mm competition diving rods.
