Is the Logo 500/600 plastic frame fragile? A local flyer had a couple of out of power landings and both resulted in damaged to gears and broken frames, blades are not even damaged. I have seen other heli's take more abuse and frame is undamaged.

Luck of the draw, I have piled mine in where all that survived was the frames, other times not so bad and cracked a frame. Helis are built to fly not to crash.

Same here, i've had some crashes where i've ripped the mounting holes out of the frame almost and the frames survived and other where the mount holes are undamaged yet the frames were cactus. Luck of the draw, always crash with care!

I thought the frames were fragile at first - but having had about 3 reasonable crashes and 2 minor smacks over the last 6 months the frames have survived all but the last plough in - it makes a huge difference to mount the landing gear with nylon bolts though

The fear of having to spend $200+ a crash is the only thing holding me back from the Logo 500. Instead I'm picking up either a T-Rex 500 or MSH Protos... I'll get the Logo later when I've moved past the beginner stage of repeated crashing. I just wish the Logo parts were lower in price.

Overall the Logo has cost less and is quicker to repair then the Trex 600 I had.

Any 30 size heli or larger is pretty easy to do $200 damage on, not only logo.
2 things on the logo are expensive: hardened shaft and canopy.
Everything else is like raptor prices some cheaper, or at least for me in aus it is.

stvjeep, remember that you're supposed to fly the heli, not crash it. Don't plan on crashing, you don't have to. I learned to fly by myself literally from the ground up using RADD's training method. If you stay within your limits and learn steadily you can do it without crashing. I had my first 80 flights crash free when I learned to fly. I'm up to about 150 flights now with only one dumb thumb (testing the holding power of the tail and pushed myself out of my control limits) and one other hard landing. I'm no 3D master but I am pretty comfortable in all orientations, FFF, and I can do some mild 3D. Like everyone says, heli's are meant to fly, not crash. Focus on flying within your limits because it's safer and cheaper.

I was a crash pro for the first 6 months. I think about $2500 on spare parts!!! :)
Finally after 1 year i decided to get a good SIM

I been flying heli for 6 months now, noob is noob does, and if I dont crash I ain't learn'n. Crash every 50 flights on average trying my wicked Noob3D with my Trex 500 and Hurricane 550. I want a 600 by summers end and hoping I can stop crashing so I can get my Logo 600-3D. Had about 10 crashes so far some pretty rough ones and no CF frames where ever sacrificed, since I crash with care. What scares me is the though of it attacking me and ending my fun. Anyways will get mine soon enough and wont test any new wicked moves on it.
