Good job flying it through the back door.
I know the feeling! Suddenly the heli is in a new orientation and your thumbs go stupid.
My sympathies.

Presumably the door was open when you flew through it ;).
But seriously, I'm gutted for you. I dread the the day when I crash my Trex.

piroettes are easy doing it fast you can practically hold the rudder and nothing else it will stay where it is even if your not set up good.
Slow piro will drift especially if your CG is off or your cyclic isnst dead on.
Suggest you learn nose in and figure 8's before trying stuff like that, that way if something goes wrong you know what to do.

thanks guys,,,
ive had to go to bed!
(already ordered a couple of spares though)
its because i wasnt in the field! the misses kept saying why dont you fly the heli, i kept saying i didnt have enough room in the garden as im trying to learn bigger things.
this went on to 2 hours then i flew it anyway.
if i was in the field thew heli would have flown past me and i would have turned around and then i would be tail in, which is what i did but the heli had crashed through the door in to the house!
if it hapends again i will call the dog,
it might have a softer landing!

Sympathies go to you barks, we have all been there - in my case not stairs but a rogue washing line post !!!!!
A few beers would be better than blaming the dog. LOL
ps I didn't know there were 7 Rs in bastard !!??

If you were in a field yes it would have flown past you and you still would not have learnt anything...
Get your co-ordination together before leaping forward.

That's good advice Wolfie. I am trying to fly further away from me, and also to fly at different angles closer to me, to "expand my region of confidence". Also knowing that a "bolt out" is to level the rotor and go tail to me asap!!!!!!!
It is working, slowly...........

Thats the same reason I crashed. I spun it in the air fast. Then did it slow. The heli started to roll with the wind and I crashed as the heli was facing me and I was disorientated. I hate crashing:mad:. But thats part of the learning process

This is where headspeed and good setup comes in to play... if you have good headspeed and setup, you can turn that baby around as slow as you like and she'll stay put... biggest part is high headspeed, the gyroscopic effect of the blades keeps it all in check.
