I had a friend machinist make up some new longer shafts to replace the shaft that twisted in half in flight. As well as one I bent in a crash.
The shaft I installed in my Logo 700 is 6mm, with a welded 4317 6mm pinion. it is also long enough to go through the counterbearing, very important with an outrunner.
8mm pre-ground high strength material is available, so the machining is rather simple.
