i sent a PM to RC Accessory, but got no reply.
was all set to get the Bantam BC6 (ac/dc version), but when a buyer can't get a response, well....
the Hyperion EOS0606I loks good and has some good reviews here.
the biggest battery packs i will be using are the Flight Power EVO's, 11.1V 2170mah 25C.................so what i want is a charger that is capable of charging and balancing, but being new to the electric scene, i really need some help in what's right for me.

it seems that there are a lot more issues with the BC6 than the Hyperion EOS0606.
i could go with the 610 and buy a power supply (http://www.rcuniverse.com/buynow/keywordclick.cfm?bid_id=5678) too.
i really want a charger that will charge the batteries (http://www.rcuniverse.com/buynow/keywordclick.cfm?bid_id=5285) i will be using and not have to wait over an hour.

You would need to get a power supply, but look at the Kong charger. It is simple to use and has a good price.

There have very very few issues with the BC-6. Not sure where you would come to that conclusion. You hardly hear anything about the AC version of the Hyperion, not a popular unit. Nowhere near the features of the Bantam unit as well.
RC Sport Flyer magazine just did a 4 page review on the BC-6. You should check it out.

The biggest mistake I see people make with chargers is they tend to buy just for what they have now. With this hobby, you really need to consider "growth" potential. I almost made that mistake too. Now with 18 lipos, 3 helis, 2 Tx's and 4 NiMH packs, I am glad I bought something with expansion in mind. With that said, a good power supply and maybe the BC-8 or 10, Or the Hyperion Duo, and many others would probably serve you better. KGFly has some of the best charger reviews on the internet, and I trust his judgement when it comes to chargers, amoung other things. Do some research before you order.

ChasHeliCop is 100% correct! I talk to customers daily. 90% already have a charger, most of them have had it for less than a year. They are buying a new charger for a few reasons:
1). Limited funds so they bought what they could afford, not enough charger, buying a new one.
2). They outgrew the current charger and did not think they would need something more.
3). They bought a cheap Chinese charger and tried to save a few dollars and now have to rebuy because the charger just doesn't work well.
IMHO the BEST all around charger that should last you for years is the e-Station BC6-10.
Up to 6S, 200 watts of power, 10 amp max charge rate. You will need your own power supply, 22-30 amp model.
With 200 watts, you can charge almost anything you want. It will charge a 6S 5000 pack at almost 2C. Need 8S? Then just use 2 4S packs in parallel. With 200 watts you have tons of power.
Very few people need packs above 6S. I use a 9S pack in one my aircraft, I use a 6S and a 3S in series.
