Please help with a definition of what is swash mixing and how it affects the heli performance.
Thanks
I assume you are referring to CCPM mixing. On a mechanical mix heli a one servo performs collective inputs, one servo performs aileron inputs, and another servo performs elevator inputs. On a CCPM heli, however, three or four servos perform together to provide those inputs. The swash mixing is what transforms a control input such as aileron into what the three or four servos need to do in order to achieve that input motion on the swash plate.
The swash mix has three values which adjust the swash throw for each type of input. Think of them as a sort of "EPA" or "ATV" that would be used for adjusting throw on a mechanical mix heli or airplane control surface. They also have a sign ('+' or '-') which determines which direction the swash moves for a given input. Think of it as servo reverse on a mechanical mix heli or airplane control surface.
Does that help?
