That's a crazy deal on a T-Rex w/ all the parts, wow! The bottom really seems to be falling out of the T-Rex market now that so many 'updated' designs are appearing, the world economy is slowing, global warming, the Exxon Valdez accident; I don't know, take your pick! :lol:

I was thinking about letting one of my two 450's go once the 550 is setup but frankly I'd not get too much out of it so I'm beginning to think about just keeping it around for parts and as a backup bird.

Hey Guys, don't panic, Trex prices haven't fallen that dramatically. It was only £100 but I had a load of stuff in my shed that the 'previous owner' wanted. I gave him an LCD projector, a Vintage Kalt Cyclone heli (see previous photo) and a NATO fibreglass storage unit, some floats for the Kalt, an old (vintage) radio and a Titanium Helicopter T'shirt.......not sure what price you would put on that lot but add it to the £100 for a more realistic 'price for Trex'.

Plus, Nigel is a good mate, so you can consider the buddy factor in this deal. Everyone comes out of it happy, Ben gets his 'new' bird, Nigel gets all his goodies and I get......errrr what did I get out of it? Dang, forgot about me again ha ha

When Ben said he got out of bed to read his mail.............that isn't foreplay!

I'm no expert, but one of my observations concerning foreplay, is that it's best to be in the same Continent as your partner when you perform it! hee hee

Multiple Piro's.......that's loss of tail authority isn't it?

Wazzer, young eyes are good..they help you with Maths (err) and telling the difference between a voltage reguator and a BEC (err) hee hee. Seeing how much sticky tape you have on your Hurri now...need me to buy some more hee hee.

Yes we could do with some more of the red / orange sticky film.
I have done the same to your blades as well, all balanced up nicely.

Also balanced the black carbons and the white carbons with the dihedral tips.

will have to try them out when you get back.

Well She had her maiden flight this evening and it was just perfect.

Spooled up reall nice and smooth (just a slight high speed tail wag)

Lifted off into nice stable hover blade tracking spot on

No trim needed

Even managed a 3 second hands off hover

did some loose 8's and a couple of piro's

all very nice and uneventful just how i like it!

Spent alot of time reassembling and setting her up after her international travels and couldn't help a few upgrades at the same time.

New V2 pitch slider
New V2 main gears and hub
220mm fly bar
flybar weights
shortened all long cables and fitted new plugs
currently flying with 315 woodies have some 325 SAB's and some 335 woodies to try out

will post some pics soon as i can

Very very please with the result just need to paint/replace canopy as all yellow is not good for orientation.

well it was short lived !

On only its thrid flight i lost orientation and it came in hard, nose first, onto concrete!!

All the usuals plus bent battery mounting plate, buggered a battery pack but surprisingly the canopy is only very slighty damaged strange considering the bent pack
