I'm confused on what motor pinion to use. I have the red Gaui 1100KV motor and will buy a hurricane CFS version. On the readiheli calculator page they recommend 22 or 23 tooth. Is that correct. If so what is the modulas to buy .6?
Also will I be able to stuff an align 6S 2500 easily under the canopy?
Thanks for the help guys

the readyheli calc is a bit confused... that was based on using revco gears.. the stock gears are fine.. as far what pinion.. that all depends on the head speed you want..
get the head speed calc in this thread http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=71718 it works great.

Thanks. That calculator works great.
How about fitting 6S under the canopy?
Have the stock tail problems been worked out since initial release?
Are the readiheli main/tail gears new harder ones? I'm just going off the problems noted in Finless videos

sorry.. forgot about the 6s part.. yes, it'll fit. I run 2*3s packs side by side and they fit, a 6s pack is smaller in size

the tail can still have problems. swapping to this http://www.readyheli.com/H60109_New_Tail_Rotor_Holder_p/h60109.htm is a direct drop in fix.
the gear problems were corrected long ago by Gaui. the new kits have OK stamped on the 42T gear indicating they are the new stock.

ok thats interesting as my cells wont fit in that orientation.
what size are they... 2200?

yep.. 2200..25C
fits fine on a CF framed Hurri... guess it's just your heli that has the problem... don't blame it though.. being flown by a former male model and all.. you probably starved it so it would look thinner

Hey mysticmead one more question.
What servos work and fit best in the CF frame?

that's a good question... and one that I'm not able to answer accurately.. I use DS821 servos and they fit fine.. for the type of flying I do, they get the job done. not knowing your skill level or the flying type or even your budget... there's no way to really answer it.. I'm sure there are others on here that can give you their experience on the different servos they've used

I just do flips, rolls, inverted, and some fairly ugly tic-tocs. If the DS821's work well that would be good news since I have a set of them that came w/DX7 radio.

united737pilot, that's they way i fly as well, and the ds821's work fine for cyclic on both my hurris.
*I use a 13T or 14T with the z30 with the stock gear setup.

Thanks xodarap:
Looks like I should be able to get one setup with the spare stuff I have laying around.
