The only stoopid question is the one that isn't axed, so hear goes:
Is the Tx powered through USB or by battery?

Battery. The USB power never reaches the radio; it's only used to power the interface box in the cable.

I am pretty sure your power has to come from another source. There are only two wires that go from the USB connection to the Tx and they don’t power up the unit when attached. The Tx I am using is a trainer unit that didn’t even come with a power switch so I had to solder some leads to the board to attach a battery pack. I now use a power adapter instead of the battery pack so I can fly all day without recharging.

That's kinda what I thought. It's a little hard to tell because I don't have much time on it yet, and I couldn't be bothered to pull the battery from the Tx to see.

Thanks. The PicooZ looks like a speck in front of the T-Rex 600N.
