Can anyone help me with this building problem,

In building the rotor head for the Strutus,

I am referrring to the main axle which runs through the rotor head,
per the instructions, I had to use a bolt on one side of the axle to tighten down the tool supplied with kit to lock in the Cer-clip on the other side of the axle - now I can't get the bolt out of the other side and I don't want to damage the spindle (shaft), whatever you call it which both blade holders bolt on to.
Any ideas???? Thanks,
JH

Try squeezing one of the circlips gently while loosening the bolt... you might get enough grab to hold the spindle from turning that way.

If that fails, you might assemble the opposite side completely, then once the loctite has dried, you should be able to hold the spindle from turning with an allen wrench in the loctited bolt, then assemble the second side.

Of course, there's always the "wrap the spindle with several layers of duct tape to protect it from the pliers" trick... I've used that one often enough...

Or you could chuck the end up in a 3/8ths drill hand tight and unscrew it. Wont marr the shaft at all or whatever its called.

The drill chuck is the cat's ass for your problem. It'll hold tight and not marr the shaft a bit.

thanks guys, wrapped it with tape and was able to hold the shaft and got the bolt off - rotor head is now complete,
this site is cool - suggestions are always very appreciated.
Thanks again,
