So on the live menu of the V-bar software there are bars for each item

aileron
elevator
rudder
collective

now airleron rudder and collective are all easy to figure out, I need some clarification on elevator though.

In order to keep it simple I will ask the question this way. When I move my cyclic stick forward (as if to do a forward flip) what should the input look like on the corresponding bar. Should the input bar move toward the top of the screen or toward the bottom of the screen.
(I thnk I know but I want to confirm this)

Next question is in regards to the other bars on the live menu. Beside the stick input bar in each item there are 2 more bars. A bar for the what the vstabi is outputing in as a reaction to the gyro signal (vstabi output), and there is another bar showing the what your gyro is detecting in terms of movement (gyro input).

Is it critical that the gyro bar detecting the movement (gyro input) detects the movement on the right way on that bar (gyro input), or is it enough that the middle bar (vstabi output) is reacting correctly mechanically at the swashplate and on the vstabi output bar.

This is more import (having it maechanically reacting properly) than the direction on the Live menu. You can have servo reverse on you transmitter and the live menu will show differently.

Thanx....first hover and loops today. Flies good. Pyro's tilt to one side but I bet I can find how to fix that with a little reading.

I took the Down on the Live menu to mean down elevator ie stick pushed forward - IMHO it's worth getting the sticks to move in the correct direction as per Live menu and if necessary using servo reverse on the Tx to achieve that although as Kevin says at the end of the day its the direction the swash moves in that's most important

Yeah, thats how I took it too and what I figured.

In your video however (which was very helpful so don't think I am ragging on you), the language regarding this point was not crystal clear. I was able to decipher what you meant though. I watched yer setup video so many times I over thought a lot of things too.

First flight is always nerve racking :)

My 1910/1Y/H should be here any day now. I ended up throwing a 600L motor in my bird just to test the flybarless cause not knowing if it would work was stressing me out.

Now I just need to get my piro's level. To do this I am going to do the piro optimization, see if that helps. If that doesn't level them out, I will try changing to classic mode to trim out as I've read that may help. Once my motor is in I'll post some pictures of my beauty.

Trimming supposed to be done in Classis mode as for some reason the trim settings aren't memorised in Extended. I've found that in my L5003D that CLassic mode works fine without the speed sensor

{my first flight was no trim in extended mode...its RARE I ever need to trim out my helis as I have setup and leveled many a head}.

went to classic mode and it hovered stable but piros were still off angle. Even though it hovered perfectly I figured I would try some trim anyway to see if it made a differance. Started with 3 clicks to the right. That was too many and made me hover right, I went back 2 clicks to the left (leaving 1 to the right) and that helped. I gave another 1 to up elevator (down on the stick), and that also helped. Switched back to extended mode and now I can spin to win.

Then I raised my piro rate to 120 from 100 and that gave me a little more speed in the piro that I wanted.

I can't wait for my motor to arrive this week to put it through a REAL test of some 3d. After its first successful 3d flight I'll make a larger post describing my setup in detail for anyone looking to do the same and maybe take a picture or two.

(on a side note I tried the piro optimization and couldn't figure out how the hell it worked so I left it at the 600e default of -30.....just didn't get what I was doing there.)
