Hello,

I finally received the recall replacement battery after about 2 months of waiting. The stock charger does not seem to be operating properly, however. The battery is clearly drained after a few minutes of flight (the new harness killed the throttle as intended), but hooking it to the charger results in a "green" light which means the battery has been fully charged. Clearly the charger is busted, it never seemed to work properly in the first place. Is there anything I can do to fix it, or should I opt for a new charger.

If a new charger is in the cards, what should I get? I don't want to spend a fortune on a charger + balancer harness. Tower has this:

which appears to have the correct plug for the new stock 3s lipo. If this charger is junk, which it has to be for only 25 bucks, what's the next cheapest bet that will actually perform well? I'd like to pick up a charger and another battery for around 100 bucks max if that is possible.

As a note, the replacement battery is labeled BP910, 910mah, 11.1v, 3 cells. The stock charger is model GPMM3315, 3-cell 11.1v lipo balance charger.

Well, I got it to charge (or at least it seems to) by sitting it on it's side rather than laying it down. Pretty junky if you ask me. I ordered a Cellpro 4s figuring it's better to have a working charger than one that will probably burn down my house.

My stock Axe charger seems to be going on the fritz as well. Charges good one weekend, then not the next. Would slowly alternate between green and red for hours. Then last weekend it worked fine. I'd be curious if you dig the Cellpro. That's exactly was I was thinking to upgrade too. Until then, good to know I can just jiggle it or put it on its side. Heh!

you would do well to buy a decent lipo charger from atleast 1 to 6 cells and has a digital display.

I have an Axe CP and have had a few problems too. First my Radio TX had a broken trainer switch when i first got it, then a month or so in, my gyro on my 3-in-1 eboard seemed to stop working after just a hard landing. Both times i called the number on my Heli-Max Axe CP instruction manual and they replaced both with no questions asked. They have GREAT customer service. They also sent it out very quickly.

I would recommend calling them to see if they will send you a new charger if you don't want to spend money on a new one. Here is their number....
