how do you orient yourself?

a heli is easy because your right over the ground. But I'm trying to learn to fly a plane and it's really hard

to know where the ground is. If i put on keep ground in view, then the plane is so small it's like a mosqiuto.

Any tips?

-Try to pick a background that can give you a clue of your altitude.
-Keep the NavGuide heads up display on the screen, has altitude displayed right there.
-Pick a very slow trainer, and keep turning to keep it close.
