Sorry, I asked this before - but, can someone recommend a battery upgrade for the CX2, from the stock one. I'm getting around 4 minutes flyable. The rest is me battling to control it, and it 'stalling' and stuff... I'd prefer not to modify my heli too much, but the modifications 'allowance' would be directly proportional to the flight time gained... If I could get half an hour - I'd be prepared to simply glue the engine to a pack. :)

There are battery upgrades out there for the CX2. But the best youre probably ever get is 10 minutes fly time, Plus the motors tend to heat up in that amount of time.

It should just be the wrong pic cause they do have a 25c battery for that price on other sites.

You were/are getting 9 minutes from stock pack? I only get 6.
all my batts say 10C however the last one i bought from my lhs
says tenergy 10C continous 20C burst he told me it's the same comp ?
so i can't say for for sure just hear say.
The only packs i have are DN but the one tenergy so i get 9 mins
of good power on my stock cxs on one of the dn's.
I have not noticed much diference from tenergy .

Got my DN... says 10C on the side. Will be OK...
Flew for 4 minutes this morning - Put 0.24ah back, so... looks like an improvement. I assume 800ma...means I can probably safely fly for 8 minutes?

These bad boys rock, can't seem to find a fault in them! Many reviewers have seen well over 100 cycles, I don't have that many but they are already outlasting stock batteries. At this price you can buy several and stash a few:

They are a bit wider than a stock batt, but at this price I have no issue with a rubber band or what I use is one of those tiny velcro ties. They don't fit into the battery tray, but does fit between the skids w/o problem.
These folks have tons of amazing deals and are a reliable company.

Cralis,
Sorry about the bad tip on the battery, Have you emailed KR's Hobbies as to why they are advertising a 25C battery and only sent a 10C? Plus they said it was 900mah. Once again I apologize.

To be honest, I am not too bothered. However, I will drop them a mail. But don't feel bad. I am quite happy with the purchase anyway. They seem to fly a lot longer than the stock. I was up for 5 and a half minutes yesterday, until ... I was doing some FFF in my garden. Gust of wind... really small, but was from behind and slightly from the right of the heli steered it towards a pillar! Pulled back to slow down, and steer away, but a blade clipped the piller, and it went down - looked quite a bad one, but was funny.
Anyway, I'm grounded, as I am out of lower blades...
Battery is cool though!

G'day all
Just purchased a CX2 and I am experiencing a little frustration connecting the battery.
The manual states the battery can be inserted either wires in first or wires to the rear.
However, if I try to put the battery in wires to the rear I cannot join the connectors up as the wires are not long enough!
Am I missing something or are E-Flight mistaken?

The e-flight batteries have a shorter connector than some aftermarket ones. Buy extra batteries, and you'll avoid having to wait more than an hour between flights. DN has the most popular batteries, but the Common Sense batts are very cost effective. I have a DN and 2 Common Sense and the stock E-Flight., both of the aftermarket batteries connectors are long enough to put the batt in backwards. It's easier to plug the connector in that way.
