If you use a Revolution or Dean's antenna, how did you mount it and where?

I didn't get my bird in the air this weekend... too much other stuff going on and I have been sitting pondering where to place the Revolution antenna. I have a Dean's also, but prefer the Revolution.

Any ideas? Thanks !

I know its not right but I have mine between the battery and the rx. The directions say the antenna length has to be two or three inches. That doesnt give it enough length to mount to anywere. So I had to put it there.

Thanks, I think I might have a place.... which antenna are you using?

I put mine on the uppermost part of the servo tray with the tip pointing forward. With it mounted like this, the tip touches the inside of the canopy. I prefer to mount them like that so they vibrate less and put less strain where the antenna is attached to the base.

Hey Rob,

Looks like I have joined the Hirobo owner group.... how did you mount the antenna to the servo tray? I am having trouble figuring out how to mount it. :arggg:

Welcome to the club! You'll like it here. You had me scared for a little while there. I thought you were giving up on helis!

I'll look at it when I go home for lunch, but I think I have a piece of double-sided tape stuck to it with a zip tie holding it down. I'll get a pitcure and post it this afternoon.

Cool, thanks. I was getting out, but all my buds talked me into keeping the Freya. I sold enough that I can now buy the wifey the refrigerator, so..... I am going to stay in heli's..... I hope.

Thanks for the info, and a picture will help. I got this heli from tnreefguy, John. He said he has a Revolution on it, on the front right of the servo tray, but for the life of me, I can't see where he had it.....

Have a great day !!!

It's a Dean's. There are couple of different styles. I just used that one 'cause I had it - no particular preference...

Hey rob I had it screwed in upright at the switch plate. The canopy just made it curl back a little no issues with range though.

I bolted my Revolution antenna on the front skid using the existing antenna mounts. It has worked well for me.
