Was flying my Logo 6003D and had my first main gear strip out on me. Been flying it fairly easy most of it's life until today. Started out with a few loops & pirouettes then decided to throw some moderate 3D at it, next thing I knew it started making a funny sound so I brought it in and sure enough a stripped main gear. My first one! Not bad imho.

Setup is Tango 45-07 with a 13 tooth pinion running off a 10s Lipo. No counter support bearing.

I'm going to put another main gear on it before I add the the counter bearing and see if it does it again.... It shouldn't need it as the motor is an inrunner and not a power house like the NEU's. I may have had the mesh a tad to loose, but don't think so. Also my blade tracking was off a smudge and this to can add extra stress on the gear.

I'll let you guys know how she does in a few days.

Don't be shy Jeremy, I saw you flying some wicked 3D!

Thanks for letting me fly your Logo 600.

STripped 2 main gears on the L600 pre counter bearing and none since after 50-60 flights. Only problem is that it lower head clearance for lipos and I can't get in my ugly big black AT 5000 pack :(

I had a chance to put the new main gear on today and found my pinion to be loose on the shaft. This is what caused the main gear to strip more than likely.

Mikado needs to make a access hole for tightening the pinion grub screw. I may use a drill press and make my own hole. I hate unbolting the engine and raising it up to gain access. Also the grub screw needs to be larger.

I also thought that it needs bigger grub screws on the pinion!
