Hi All,

I've got a CX-2 and up until yesterday was flying very well. I had a minor crash and checked to see if anything was broken and all seemed to be well until I tried flying. It wants to just circle around in about a 6 ft diameter (toilet bowl effect). I held it down and powered it up and everything seems to be spinning staight. Does anybody have any tips on where to start troubleshooting this bird?

Thanks for any info provided,

Phasor

I have heard that the flybar adjustment causes TBE, When mine started doing this I adjusted the flybar from one extreme to the other ( small increments) to no effect. What I finally noticed was that the set collar that holds the outer shaft in place had slid up slightly allowing the outer shaft to move up and down. I repositioned the set collar and tightened it up. It took care of the TBE for me. Can't say if that causes it for sure, but it hovers nicely now.
If you find out something different you should post it, TBE seems to be a common problem.

Stsrus,

Thanks for the reply! I think that I found my problem. The lower rotor head has the blade grip locating tab snapped off on one side. I started at the top and started working down....flybar, upper rotor head, shafts, then lower rotor head and found the broken tab. It still flys but with noticable TBE. So....will order a new lower rotor head. So I will probably get the aluminum head so I don't have this problem again in the future.

Thanks again,
