Is this radio a good one for heli's. Any information would be helpful.

It is a Futaba 7 Ch 2.4 Ghz radio.

Here's the link http://www.servocity.com/html/7ch_2_4ghz_systems.html

I'd like to get a radio that I can use to fly some beginner stuff heli's and planes that will take me through CP heli's and advanced flying. I emailed the tech support and they said it'd be fine for heli's but didnt specifically answer as to if it had swash mixing and heli specific stuff.

Thanks

Henry

It has everything you will need for helis until you get into scale with retract gear, rotating guns or anything else that might be added. It has various swash mixing, built in timer that can start above selected throttle positions, 2 idle ups, throttle hold etc. etc.
I have the 72mhz version, I believe all the features other than FASST are identical. Just make sure you get the heli version (7CH) it differs with switch positions.

Just a suggestion. But you might look at the Futaba 10C. I got to play with a 10C at the XFC this past weekend. Lots of nice features in the radio. For the cost of the 10C, it will be a radio that will last you a long time. I would think at some of the hobby shops that the 10C will be in the low to mid $500 range.
