I am working on a bell 222 and I want to go flybarless for scale look, so I took all the flybar crap of my trex 600e and went out to try it out. It was quite windy and to my suprise it flew great, just a little pitching uppvards in high speed and more sensitive to wind nothing I cant handle and I am nothing like alan szabo. No need for all that mixers and gyros on the head so I am looking forvard to my scale headed bell 222.:banana
A few months ago I saw a guy fly a 'manual flybarless' Trex600N. He did a very nice 3D demo, which I could not believe was possible without cyclic gyros/mixer. So, I guess it can be done, but I don't think my dumb-thumbs would be up to it.
I might try slipping the flybar/paddles off my stock set-up and replacing this with a cut-down bit off an old flybar and give it a go. Maybe with a little Tx mixing it would be managable?
Cheers,
Tom C

It is true that a 600mm blade size heli can do 3D without any stabalization. Pitch control is less stable than roll but you may need more finger effort to correct the pitch especially in windy condition. The 600 will behave like a 450.
Make sure you set the mechanics absolutely correct. Use as much travel the servo can provide. This will give better resolution.
Measure the cyclic and collective pitch carefully. Even a 10 deg cyclic can be very touchy and you need 30% Expo. setting on the transmitter and lower the Exp till your finger can adapt.
Then increase the cyclic/ colelctive pitch to 14/14 if you are a helifreak! The 600 can forward flip faster than a 450 at HS3400 !
